Almost 1 in 4 nursing home patients suffered harm as a result of their (lack of ) medical care in a Nursing Home. Slightly more than 1 in 10 also experienced injury. (Highlighting a report released by the Department of Health and Human Services' Office of the Inspector General, as published by The New York Times on April 14, 2015).
Why? Well, the study, report and article once again draw focus to profits over people. Poignantly sad, depressing and wrong.
